Load angled aerial photos from every camera type and supplier into one independent viewer and keep your history when you change provider.
Oblique imagery is captured with different camera systems and offered by different parties. At many organisations that leads to a viewer per supplier and to an archive that becomes unreachable when the contract ends. GEORIZON turns that around: the viewer is independent of the manufacturer and the supplier, and the imagery stays with the client.
Parties around oblique imagery fall roughly into three groups. Manufacturers of camera systems and software, such as Vexcel Imaging (UltraCam and UltraMap), Hexagon and Leica Geosystems, IGI and Track'Air. Providers that fly and supply imagery. And organisations that commission their own flights, such as a municipality, water board or utility. The camera makers named here are examples, not a limit. GEORIZON is not tied to any of them and supports them all.
An oblique image is usable once it is known where the camera was, how it was oriented and which camera it was. GEORIZON uses that georeferencing and camera data to tie every image to the map. A ready-made ingest template is available for each camera type. We always keep the original files: they are not replaced or converted.
A viewer that belongs to a supplier is convenient as long as you stay with that supplier. If you switch, you lose the history or have to run several viewers side by side. An independent viewer keeps the imagery of all years together, lets suppliers compete on image quality and price, and makes it easier to tender imagery separately from the viewer. The imagery sits in the client's own GEORIZON tenant.
