Z+F processing without a licence per workstation

A Z+F IMAGER or PROFILER produces exceptionally clean phase-based measurement data, but the route to a publishable dataset usually runs through Z+F LaserControl on a desktop, and for kinematic surveys through Z+F SynCaT for synchronisation, calibration and transformation. That means a licence per workstation, heavy hardware and manual work on every project. 360GEO carries out those steps within GEORIZON and processes your Z+F data automatically into a single vendor-independent dataset, typically available within 24 hours in the viewer, through the API, as WMTS and as a download.

  • Ingest of Z+F scan projects or exports in E57, LAS, LAZ, PTX and PTG
  • Our own synchronisation, calibration and transformation of raw PROFILER profiles against the trajectory
  • HDR panoramas from the integrated i-Cam, the T-Cam and the TopCam as measurable imagery
  • GDPR blurring of faces and number plates on both static and mobile surveys

From a structured Z+F scan to open, measurable geodata

The strength of Zoller+Fröhlich lies in phase-based measurement: a very high point density with low noise at short and medium range. GEORIZON keeps that quality intact. We ingest the structured scan, including the grid pattern of the rotating mirror, the intensity values and, where present, the RGB colouring from the HDR camera. Because that structure is preserved, the same survey can be used both as a spherical panorama and as a point cloud. We then transform the data into the coordinate reference system you work in and build a spatial index that streams hundreds of millions of points smoothly through the browser. Delivery is in open formats, so you are not tied to a single software vendor.

An automated pipeline instead of manual work per setup

Phase-based scanners produce characteristic edge artefacts and mixed pixels on sharp transitions, and overlapping setups quickly create redundancy. The GEORIZON processing pipeline applies filters tuned to this behaviour, with noise reduction based on intensity and angle of incidence and the removal of duplicate points. Colourisation, structuring, tiling and GDPR blurring of faces and number plates through AI detection follow. We run that anonymisation not only on mobile surveys but also on static setups and their panoramas, so an inner-city scan series can be shared without further editing. Everything runs as a batch in the cloud, which means hundreds of setups or kilometres of carriageway are processed in parallel without tying up a workstation. New surveys are added to an existing project, with earlier runs remaining available for comparison over time.

Static, mobile and kinematic in a single data structure

The Zoller+Fröhlich portfolio runs from terrestrial scanners such as the IMAGER 5024 Supreme, Advanced and Entry and the earlier 5016A, 5010X and 5006EX, through the FlexScan 22 platform, to the PROFILER series 9020, 9020C and 9025C that is built into many mobile mapping systems as a profile scanner. 360GEO reduces those sources to one data structure. For static surveys we work from the registered setups and their panoramas. For kinematic surveys we go a step further: we synchronise the raw PROFILER profiles against the trajectory ourselves, determine the calibration between scanner and navigation system, apply an adjustment to survey control where required and transform the result into the system you work in. A separate SynCaT licence is not needed for that. If you combine your Z+F data with surveys from another manufacturer, everything comes together in the same project.
