From raw Trimble MX data to open, ready-to-use geodata

A Trimble MX system delivers high-quality LiDAR, camera and positioning data. However, the standard processing workflow is closely integrated with the Trimble ecosystem, including Trimble Business Center Mobile Mapping. GEORIZON provides an alternative, automated processing workflow that transforms Trimble MX data into uniform, vendor-independent datasets.

  • Processing directly from Trimble MX project and sensor data
  • Automated processing, within 1 day
  • Support for all Trimble MX systems and configurations
  • Results immediately available in the viewer, via API and for download.

Directly from Trimble MX data to open geodata

Get more out of your Trimble MX system without relying on Trimble Business Center for post-processing. GEORIZON processes raw trajectory, LiDAR and camera data directly from your Trimble MX capture. The different data sources are combined, georeferenced and processed into optimised point clouds and imagery. The results are delivered in open, widely supported formats and can be published directly in GEORIZON. This keeps Trimble MX as a powerful data capture system, while giving you the freedom to decide where and how your data is used.

No manual Trimble workflow, but automated processing

Processing large volumes of Trimble MX data does not have to involve an extensive manual workflow for every capture. GEORIZON’s processing pipeline automates the processing and structuring of trajectory, LiDAR and camera data.

Depending on the dataset, steps such as registration, noise reduction, point cloud colourisation, image processing and anonymisation can also be performed automatically. The result is a uniform dataset that is immediately available in GEORIZON for visualisation, measurements and analysis. Through downloads, open formats and APIs, the same data can also be used in existing GIS, CAD and asset management environments.

One workflow for the entire Trimble MX range

GEORIZON supports different generations and configurations across the Trimble MX range, including the MX9, MX50, MX60 and MX90. These systems combine LiDAR with 360° imagery and GNSS/IMU positioning, with the exact sensor and camera configuration varying between MX models.

GEORIZON accounts for these different sensor configurations during processing and standardises the output into a single, uniform data structure. This allows the same processing and publishing workflow to be used for datasets captured with different Trimble MX systems.
