Mobile Mapping Data Processing

Key facts

Fully automated data processing

From raw sensor data to ready-to-use geospatial information, processed entirely automatically.

Open Standards, No Vendor Lock-in

The data remains the property of the client and is accessible through open formats, APIs, and industry-standard GIS interfaces.

360°, LiDAR & AI in One Platform

Panoramic imagery, LiDAR data, and AI-powered processing seamlessly integrated into a single platform.

From raw data to actionable geospatial information

360GEO transforms the raw data captured by the City of Antwerp's Mobile Mapping systems—including 360° panoramic imagery, LiDAR data, and high-resolution imagery—into validated and georeferenced geospatial information for asset management and infrastructure inspection. During processing, trajectories are computed, sensor data is synchronized, quality assurance procedures are performed, and privacy-sensitive information is automatically anonymized. The end-to-end processing workflow is designed for large-scale projects, efficiently handling millions of panoramic images and billions of LiDAR points. As a result, the City of Antwerp receives consistent, up-to-date datasets that are immediately available for inspection, asset management, and geospatial analysis.

Open data architecture for maximum interoperability

The entire processing pipeline is built on open standards, ensuring seamless interoperability and long-term flexibility. Data is stored and delivered using open file formats and APIs, making it easy to integrate with existing GIS, BIM, and asset management systems. The client retains full ownership and control of all data and can export or integrate datasets without being dependent on a single software vendor. This open architecture provides a future-proof foundation for modern geospatial information management, supporting municipalities, infrastructure operators, and other public sector organizations.

Scalable cloud processing for Mobile Mapping and LiDAR

The GEORIZON platform automates the entire Mobile Mapping data processing workflow, from data upload to online publication. Panoramic imagery, LiDAR data, AI-powered privacy anonymization, quality assurance, and data publishing are managed through a single integrated workflow. New datasets are automatically processed and made available through a web viewer and APIs, with support for historical datasets and timeline-based visualization. Powered by a scalable cloud architecture, GEORIZON enables organizations to efficiently process, manage, share, and analyze large volumes of geospatial data.
